Life is not easy. It is a truth that none of us can avoid.
The fact that you are looking at my website suggests that there is something in your life that feels stuck, painful, maybe hopeless or unreachable, and that you want something different for yourself – that you want to find a path to change. Perhaps you want to free yourself from repetitive patterns of behaviour, self-limiting beliefs or the impact of trauma – to deepen your connection to yourself so that life feels richer, more rewarding and that you feel more authentically you.
I understand that asking for help is not easy, in fact it may be one of the hardest things you ever do. Self-discovery can feel daunting, and takes courage, but I invite you to begin.

I offer weekly in-person and online counselling to adults and young people from my room in the centre of Stroud. I also work for Gloucestershire Counselling Service seeing adult clients, and as a school counsellor. I am BACP accredited and my fees are £45 per 50-minute session.
My aim is to offer a safe, warm and welcoming space in which you feel both seen and heard. From this space, we will work at your pace to explore whatever you want to focus on at this time.
The way I work is primarily psychodynamic – so talk-based, helping you to identify patterns in your life, often linked to the past. I also draw on a number of creative therapies. I have a deep respect for our embodied experience, for the 'felt sense' of ourselves – and how working directly with the body through movement and awareness, we can deepen our self knowledge and healing. I also work creatively with the many 'parts' of ourselves, those that we know and love, and others that are more challenging, or perhaps unknown. I use psycho-education and mindfulness, where appropriate, to create self awareness and self knowledge.
I believe that our stories are in our bodies, in our relationship to ourselves, in our relationships to others, and in our ways of being in the world. Once we start to shine a light on these stories, to share our internal world, and feel deeply into our bodies, healing can occur.
My hope is that through counselling with me you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and that this in turn empowers you to make change.
